PhishRod conducted an insightful workshop focusing on addressing human risk to build cyber resilience in collaboration with the Egyptian Banking Institute (EBI) - the official training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt. The objective of this workshop was to demonstrate how organizations in the banking sector can stay safe from emerging cyber threats while complying with Egypt’s Financial Cybersecurity Framework.

The comprehensive workshop was conducted by Syed Abid Ali, Co-founder & CCO PhishRod, who highlighted current cyberattack trends and strategies to mitigate human-centric security threats. The session emphasized the critical role of human risk management in cybersecurity by showcasing the significant impact of cyber threats on individuals and organizations. By presenting real-world case studies of cyberattacks on financial institutions, both technical and human vulnerabilities were discussed. The event concluded with guidelines on complying with Egypt’s Financial Cybersecurity Framework, ensuring that participants are well-versed in the regulatory requirements and best practices for financial cybersecurity in Egypt.
